Jit Nagpal : Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Jit has played a leading role in information technology industry for more than 24 years managing functional and business operations in Asia Pacific/India. He is instrumental in defining the Sciente Way-founding Values, Client-centric business model and the team of committed Scienteans.
Our very purpose of doing business is to delight our Clients and Community. Therefore, Client focus, passion for execution, high integrity and welfare of society are our defining values. He is committed to build a culture of care, honesty, diversity and flexibility. A culture of doing what we say, we are going to do and our word of promise holds true and is as good as a written commitment.
Jit has worked in various reputed multinationals and in Asian conglomerates like Hewlett Packard, HCL-an Indian IT conglomerate, Delteq Systems-a member of Wuthelam Group and Perot Systems and therefore, he has a rich experience within IT services industry and to work with diversity. Prior to Sciente, he was the Director and Head of Asia Pacific Operations of Perot Systems, Consulting and Applications Solutions for eight years, based at their regional HQ at Singapore.
He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School (AMP165) and an electronics and telecommunications engineer. He is a member of Harvard Club of Singapore and a member of Singapore Computer Society.
Sandra Heng : Chief Operating Officer
Sandra has extensive experience within Information Technology industry especially within systems integration and application services industry. Prior to Sciente, she worked in China as Country Director – Greater China. Previously, she led the Singapore sales operations of Perot Systems, Consulting and Applications Solutions where she was instrumental in building the Singapore business. Earlier in her career, she spent five years at Delteq Systems – a member of Wuthelam group, holding key positions in sales and business development in different industry verticals and services businesses in Singapore/Malaysia.
Wherever she worked, she pioneered new initiatives which have had a significant impact on the organizations. And "whatever it takes, we must deliver our promises and we must not compromise our values" – this is what she is known for.
She was born in Singapore, and has traveled widely in many countries. She leads the philanthropy initiatives of Sciente.
She obtained her Bachelor's degree from National University of Singapore. She also had an EMBA from Washington University – Fudan University, Shanghai, Beta Gamma Sigma.
Jasmine Lim - Vice President (Services Delivery)
She is a Computer Science graduate with 16 years of professional experience within Information Technology and across the financial services, government, healthcare industries.
Prior to Sciente, she worked with Aviva Insurance as Development Manager where she was responsible for some of the key projects. Previously, she worked with NCS for over 10 years. Her forte is IT consulting with rich hands-on experience in technology and in project management.
She has a rare skill-set of balancing task-orientation & people-orientation to achieve the desired results in a timely manner.
Philanthropy is very much part of Sciente culture and leaders' credo. It was not an afterthought, but an integral part of the planning of Sciente founding. The focus is to help the needy who include the professionals who are in need of advice/direction and the poor/marginalized. Therefore, make a long-term beneficial impact in their lives.
In our view, there are many people out there who are not poor as the world defines it but poor in spirit. They are emotionally derailed/drained out, do lack the direction/interest and generally lost/lonely as to what they can do. For example, professionals who are in their late forties whose career is derailed, how they can manage the challenges and still have the confidence to leverage their experience and expertise. What can they do? Our mission is to provide some avenue of where these people can talk to someone who can provide some counsel/advice and opportunities to help them be gainfully employed. There are real needs in this area that often go unaddressed.
Therefore, our idea of philanthropy is not just in making donations, we would also like to have the Scienteans involved in serving the community every day. This serving the community extends beyond just the poor/marginalized, but also to people who have real needs, however are not able to seek that help, because by the world’s standard they are materially fine.
The aspiration is to create a company culture of professionals who represent professionalism, high integrity and servant attitude to provide assistance to people who have needs - professionally, as well as the poor. It is an ingrained part of the company’s culture – The Sciente Way.
From the very founding of Sciente, it has been decided that certain portion of our profits will be for philanthropic purposes. Our chosen method at present is to give financially to the needy families through providing food and education. We also set aside some funds where we provide employment to people who cannot find employment and to re-skill them.
In the longer term, we hope to work with other organizations who are reaching out to the poorest of poor through education, healthcare, microenterprises/social-enterprises and community development. Our desire is to work alongside with others and pull resources together through innovative methods to improve the quality of life for needy. The approach will be to provide a sustainable means for them which hopefully can be built upon, expanded and provide a multiplier effect to truly help them physically and spiritually.
Our excitement and enthusiasm is propelled by our immense passion to be an organization with a difference. Our aim is to delight not just our clients, but also to do "a little bit more" to reach out to others who are in need.

The Technology Fast 500 list is compiled from the Deloitte Asia Pacific Technology Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Technology Fast 500, and public company database research. To qualify for the Technology Fast 500, entrants must have had base-year operating revenues of at least US$ 50,000.
Entrants must also be public or private companies headquartered in Asia Pacific and must be a "technology company," defined as a company that develops or owns proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; or manufactures a technology-related product; or devotes a high percentage of effort to the research and development of technology.
