The role is for an Intermediate Java Cloud Developer to contribute to building large, distributed, cloud-native applications as part of a migration from an on-premises cluster to a cloud-native platform (CARMA). The position requires strong core Java skills, familiarity with cloud technologies (especially Docker/Kubernetes and AWS), and an ability to work in a collaborative, international environment with high communication standards.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Minimum 4 years of software development experience;
• Minimum 3 years working with Java;
• Understanding of recent Java features (lambdas, streams, futures);
• Must have strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis;
• Ability to analyze code and debug without a debugger;
• Must have experience with Maven, Git, and integration testing;
• Familiarity with Linux and bash;
• Good knowledge of SQL;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes;
• Experience with cloud providers, especially AWS;
• Use of Git portals like GitLab or GitHub;
• Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking tools;
• Familiarity with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Swagger for RESTful APIs;
• Experience with Apache Spark;
• Knowledge of C#, Go, or C++;
• Understanding of finance/financial markets, especially counterparty risk systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications for a cloud-native distributed system;
• Collaborate on the migration from on-premises infrastructure to cloud (CARMA);
• Write, maintain, and debug high-quality code;
• Implement integration tests and ensure code quality;
• Work with cloud-related tools (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS) for deployment and operations support;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally, ensuring clear and effective technical communication;
• Participate in analyzing execution flows and troubleshooting complex issues.
