The Software developer will work on the International Core Banking System, focusing on modules such as Accounts, Expense Management, Referential System, and Access Management. The position involves designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting COBOL-based applications, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Must have minimum 6 years of relevant experience in COBOL and Pro*C;
- Must have bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Programming & Systems Analysis, or related field;
- Must have hands-on expertise in Micro Focus COBOL, C, Pro*C, Shell scripting, SQL/PL-SQL, GitLab, and Oracle;
- Must have strong communication skills in English, analytical and organizational abilities;
- Must have proactive, autonomous, problem-solving orientation with experience in LEAN environments.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Maven, CI/CD implementation, MQ, and CFT;
- General knowledge of banking;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- Interest in learning new technologies;
- Understanding and respect for cultural diversity.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and update COBOL software solutions;
- Analyze functional requirements and prepare technical specifications;
- Code, test, validate, and implement system components;
- Draft technical designs, unit tests, peer reviews, and integration documents;
- Provide Level 3 production support and resolve escalated issues;
- Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and cross-functional teams;
- Participate in technical discussions and propose best-practice solutions;
- Ensure delivery quality across all assigned projects and tasks.
