A COBOL Developer role within a Cash Management & Core Banking environment, focused on developing and maintaining financial system modules. Requires expertise in COBOL, Pro*C, SQL, and banking systems, with exposure to DevOps and cloud-based environments.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Must have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent;
• Must have minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with COBOL and Pro*C;
• Must have Proficiency in Micro Focus COBOL, C, Shell scripting, and SQL/PL-SQL;
• Must have experience in Oracle, GitLab, and system integration;

Desirable Skill(s)

• General knowledge of banking processes;
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Maven, CI/CD pipelines;
• Exposure to MQ and CFT;
• Experience in Lean/Agile environments;
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills;

Responsibilities

• Analyze functional specifications, prepare technical documentation, and design, code, and test software components;
• Develop, implement, and test components for core financial modules (Accounts, Expense, Referential, Access Management);
• Perform software enhancements, upgrades, and validation;
• Provide Level 3 production support (issue analysis and resolution);
• Conduct technical design, peer reviews, unit tests, and integration documents;
• Collaborate with business analysts and engineers to align technical and business requirements;
• Maintain high standards of quality delivery, propose best practice solutions;
• Work on concurrent projects ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality outcomes.
