Risk Business Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Business Solutions Lead who will act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, supporting strategic and tactical initiatives within the Risk Management domain . Mandatory Skill(s)

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related fields;
  • Must have minimum 6 years of relevant experience in banking and/or consulting, with a focus on Risk Management, Technology Strategy, or Operational Change;
  • Must have strong domain knowledge in Market Risk or Credit Risk is essential;
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Must have proficiency in data analysis, Excel macros, and able to create data dashboards/mock-ups quickly for business visualization;
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end technology and operational processes in a banking environment;
  • Familiar with enterprise architecture principles and change management frameworks;
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and communication skills;
  • Strategic and forward-thinking, with the ability to thrive in ambiguous and fast-paced environments;
  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently without losing sight of broader objectives.

 

Desirable Skill(s)

  • Knowledge of Operational Risk, Fraud, Product Control, or Balance Sheet Risk;

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders for initiatives requiring technology and operational enablement;
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with business, technology, and operations teams to enable effective change and solution delivery.
  • Design feasible and scalable high-level solutions in collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture and Business Technology Services teams.
  • Ensure solution alignment with technology roadmaps and strategic objectives;
  • Collaborate with business users and tech teams to ensure all aspects of business requirements are understood and addressed;
  • Develop end-to-end, robust solution designs encompassing process, systems, and client experience;
  • Initiate implementation planning for Group T&O projects, covering both operational readiness and technical deployment;
  • Evaluate new initiatives with considerations for scalability, maintainability, cost, operational impact, and principal technology risks;
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., BAs, architects, testing teams) to translate requirements into viable solutions;
  • Coordinate with technology delivery teams for successful execution;
  • Review test strategies, support UAT, and ensure proper issue resolution and readiness for go-live;
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and blockers early in the process;
  • Provide regular communication to business on critical incidents affecting customer or business operations;
  • Lead reviews with business on system performance, incident root cause analysis, and production issues;
  • Ensure continuous improvement in system responsiveness and reliability;
  • Monitor service levels between GTO and business; highlight and close any performance gaps;
  • Build mechanisms to track realized business benefits and ROI of T&O initiatives;
  • Continuously analyze current practices and design modifications to improve system and process efficiency.
