IT Infrastructure Engineer

This IT Infrastructure Engineer role will be involved in network administration, system engineering, and cybersecurity. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and protection of systems and data.

Mandatory Skill(s)

  • Must have Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or other relevant studies; 
  • Must have at least 6 years of experience as IT Infrastructure Engineer, Network Security Engineer, or any relevant position; 
  • Must have experience in Firewalls administration (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, AWS Firewall, etc.); 
  • Must have experience in CISCO Networks;  
  • Must have experience in Windows and Linux server administration; 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking; 
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

Desirable Skill(s)

  • Cloud platform certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate) is advantageous; 
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible is good to have; 
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI) is preferred; 
  • Scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for task automation and operational efficiency is desirable; 
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework or ITSM platforms like ServiceNow is an added advantage.  

Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti); 
  • Perform VPN setup and management (IPSec, SSL VPN); 
  • Network monitoring and performance tuning (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Wireshark); 
  • Perform Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL); 
  • Perform Active Directory Administration & Group Policy management; 
  • Participate in Virtualization platforms: VMware or Hyper-V; 
  • Support and manage IT infrastructure operations, including service levels, capacity planning, change management, backups, availability, and security; 
  • Ensure compliance with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management; 
  • Perform Firewall configuration and security policy implementation; 
  • Perform Vulnerability scanning and remediation (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).
