We are seeking a Technical Manager who will be responsible for leading a cross functional engineering team to design, build, and deliver scalable software and platform solutions. The role involves providing technical direction, mentoring engineers, driving Agile and DevOps best practices, and ensuring high quality end to end solution delivery. The position requires strong technical expertise, architectural decision making, and effective collaboration with cross functional stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Proven experience leading software engineering teams and managing delivery of medium to large initiatives;
- Strong coaching skills to develop engineers both technically and in leadership;
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or C#;
- Hands on experience with modern development tools and practices including Git, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and containerization;
- Ability to translate complex requirements into clear technical specifications and design documents;
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies;
- Understanding of DevOps practices and toolchains.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP;
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, microservices, distributed systems, or event driven architectures;
- Background in systems engineering, platform engineering, or SRE;
- Familiarity with quality/security frameworks such as OWASP, ISO 27001, or SOC 2;
- Experience with performance engineering, capacity planning, or cost optimization;
- Exposure to data platforms, messaging, or streaming technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ;
- Understanding of design documentation standards like the C4 model, ADRs, or sequence diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers while driving technical and leadership growth through coaching, pairing, and development plans;
- Manage end to end project delivery across multiple initiatives, aligning dependencies, resources, risks, and milestones;
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retros to maintain delivery flow;
- Define and implement technical strategies aligned with business goals and target architecture;
- Translate business and user requirements into detailed technical specifications and design documentation;
- Oversee software architecture, feature design, and implementation while conducting design and code reviews;
- Drive improvements in scalability, performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency across platforms and services;
- Champion Agile and DevOps practices such as CI/CD, IaC, automated testing, observability, and trunk based development;
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, secure coding principles, design patterns, and SDLC compliance controls;
- Manage deployment readiness including monitoring, alerting, SLOs, and operational handover;
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and Operations teams to align priorities and deliver outcomes;
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non technical stakeholders while producing architecture artifacts.
