System Analyst role is focused on insurance product configuration and system analysis across digital platforms (Cube, DTC) in multi-channel environments; Responsible for onboarding new insurance products by collaborating with product, actuarial, and pricing teams; Involves requirement gathering, impact analysis, and translating business needs into technical specifications; Works within Agile environments supporting system enhancements, upgrades, and ongoing IT delivery; Requires strong understanding of insurance domain and modern technology stacks (Node.js, MongoDB, APIs).
Mandatory Skill(s)
- 5+ years of experience in full systems development lifecycle (SDLC);
- Strong experience in insurance product configuration and rollout (Par, Non-Par, ILAS products);
- Hands-on knowledge of Node.js, MongoDB, and web-based / client-server architectures;
- Experience in API mapping, API specifications, and cross-system integration flows;
- Strong requirement gathering, system analysis, and impact analysis skills;
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities;
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Exposure to insurance platforms like Cube or Direct-to-Consumer (DTC);
- Understanding of DevOps, Cloud, Microservices, and Mobile application development;
- Experience in creating prototypes, mockups, and “As-Is / To-Be” process flows;
- Knowledge of system modeling techniques and system engineering concepts;
- Experience in working with multi-regional teams (APAC / Hong Kong / Malaysia markets);
- Certifications or continuous learning in emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
- Configure insurance products across multiple platforms and channels (agency, broker, banca, digital);
- Collaborate with product, actuarial, and pricing teams to understand product specifications and calculations;
- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements;
- Perform system analysis, impact analysis, and design solutions for new product onboarding;
- Create conceptual prototypes, mockups, and define “As-Is” and “To-Be” workflows;
- Manage system upgrades and ensure consistency across business units;
- Ensure project delivery within defined timelines, scope, and budget;
- Provide ongoing support and enhancements to existing systems;
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders including IT, business, and cross-functional teams.
