Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a strategic data-centric initiative within Capital Markets IT. The role involves driving the functional design and validation of risk and regulatory reporting applications built on Big Data technologies.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Must have 12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in investment banking, specifically within Market Risk;
• Must have strong knowledge of P&L explanation, VaR, and Stress VaR analysis;
• Must have hands-on experience with applications such as SQL and good understanding of data models;
• Expertise in functional testing methodologies, including test strategy, unit tests, and UAT coordination;
• Proven ability to act as a liaison between onshore business teams and offshore technical teams;
• Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication, especially across multicultural teams.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Knowledge of Product Control and P&L calculation;
• Familiarity with Treasury, FX, Credit, IRD, and other financial instruments;
• Proficiency in MS Office tools, SharePoint, Visio, and MS Project;
• Exposure to UML, Business Intelligence tools, and data warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with business teams to gather, clarify, and translate functional requirements into detailed specifications and user stories;
• Present functional changes to developers and support them throughout the development process;
• Develop and execute test strategies, write test cases, and coordinate user acceptance testing with project managers;
• Provide Level 2 functional support by analyzing incidents, reproducing issues, and coordinating with developers for resolution;
• Maintain and regularly update comprehensive functional documentation;
• Ensure functional alignment with regulatory and risk requirements across the software development lifecycle.
