We are seeking a skilled and proactive Java DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for developing scalable backend services, building DevOps pipelines, and ensuring robust and secure deployments. The ideal candidate is a strong team player with deep technical expertise and a passion for automation and high-quality software delivery.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Must have 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java 8 or higher, including frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot;
- Must have experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs;
- Must have experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps YAML pipelines or similar tools;
- Has working experience with relational databases such as Oracle, including PL/SQL and tools like Flyway or Liquibase;
- Strong knowledge of test automation practices across the testing pyramid (unit, integration, functional)
- Has exposure to containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift;
- Understands and applies IT security fundamentals in the development lifecycle;
- Has experience working in Agile software development environments.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Has experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP);
- Has knowledge of microservices and cloud-native architecture principles;
- Has familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy backend services in a secure, scalable, and efficient manner;
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and automated deployments;
- Participate in designing, documenting, and delivering technical solutions aligned with business needs;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and Product;
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications in development and production environments;
- Promote engineering best practices and mentor team members as needed;
- Take ownership of production systems and participate in on-call support if required;
- Continuously stay informed of emerging technologies, tools, and practices in DevOps and backend engineering.
