Senior COBOL Developer

We are looking for a Senior COBOL Developer to join a team responsible for designing and managing systems for projects in a reputed bank. The role involves working on the development and maintenance of key financial modules such as accounts and expense management, referential systems, and access management.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Must have 6 years of experience in COBOL and Pro*C development;
• Must have hands-on experience with Micro Focus COBOL, Shell scripting, SQL/PL-SQL, Oracle;
• Exposure in Docker, Docker, Kubernetes Jenkins, Maven, CI/CD implementation;
• Ability to follow defined procedures and interact effectively with functional and technical teams;
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities;
• Experienced working within a LEAN environment'
• Good oral and written communication skills 

Desirable Skill(s)

• Experience in banking industry.

Responsibilities

• Analyze functional specifications and develop technical solutions;
• Design, code, test, and document software components;
• Provide level 3 production support and resolve escalated technical issues;
• Contribute to technical designs and performance requirements;
• Collaborate with business analysts and other engineers to meet project objectives;
• Perform system integration and unit testing;
• Participate in technical discussions and propose solutions based on industry best practices;
• Maintain high standards of software quality and ensure project deliverables meet expectations.
