Senior Code Designer

We are seeking an experienced Code Designer and Java Full Stack Developer to build scalable solutions for data quality monitoring and trade message management projects for an established bank.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Must have 10+ years of experience with Java/J2EE, Spring, RESTful APIs, AngularJS/ReactJS, TypeScript, and Material-UI;
• Must have proficiency in Kafka, JMS/WebSphere MQ, multithreading, XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON;
• Strong knowledge of SQL with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL; 
• Must have experience with AWS and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Maven, SonarQube, JIRA, and Confluence;
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools and application monitoring, logging, and automation;
• Skilled in TDD/BDD practices using JUnit and DBUnit, with CI/CD implementation experience;
• Familiar with shell scripting on Unix/Linux and application servers like JBoss, WildFly, WebSphere.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Background in banking, ideally within capital markets IT, with exposure to Agile development and CI/CD practices;
• Familiarity with Swagger for API documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end solutions for trade message monitoring with focus on quality, scalability, and performance;
• Prepare technical design documents, API contracts, and sequence diagrams for workflows;
• Build and maintain scalable backend and frontend components using Java and Angular/React;
• Conduct code reviews, manage merges, and enforce coding standards;
• Apply TDD/BDD methodologies and perform non-functional testing for reliability;
• Optimize performance across UI and message processing layers;
• Support UAT, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure secure deployments;
• Collaborate with UI/UX, QA, and business teams to align on requirements and delivery;
• Document system architecture and promote best development practices;
• Drive process improvements, recommend automation, and actively participate in Agile ceremonies.
