Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to work on projects for a reputed bank. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make a significant impact.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and related discipline;
• Must have  8 years of experience in Network Operations;
• Must have experience in network protocols, architectures , and technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP , MPLS, MP-BGP, EVPN);
• Must have In-depth understanding of the networking concepts such as Routing, switching , LAN/WAN, Sapnning Tree protocol, HSRP, ARP,VLAN, Inter-VLAN Routing, OSPF, BGP, VxLAN, Cisco ACI, VxLAN BGP eVPN, SDA, SDWAN;
• Experience on routers and switches for advanced troubleshooting of the network related problems and incidents;
• Hands-on experience on troubleshooting complex network problems;
• Logical and analytical thinking and problem analysis skills to troubleshoot complex network problem to isolate the root cause and provide suitable resolution;
• Excellent team player and strong interpersonal skills;
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

Desirable Skill(s)
 

• Work experience in banking industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage network incidents escalations from L1/L2, incident and problem and security incident response;
• Responsible to work with the respective infra tower teams in troubleshooting and identify root cause, related to network;
• Responsible to work with the respective network vendors’ support teams for the troubleshooting, identification and resolution of network problems;
• Handle critical network incidents under pressure situations to resolve in timely manner to minimize the business impact;
• Attend to conference calls with other support teams for problem identification and resolutions;
• Senior technical role responsible for quick resolution of network related problems. Proactive approach to handling and managing the network problems and ability to drive the problem situation towards resolution, without getting stuck by the dependencies on external factors;
• Able to use technical knowledge to proactively identify the potential network problems and imminent business impact areas and prevent the same. Able to guide junior members in team for the same;
• Work extended hours (weekday evening, weekends) if needed in case of ongoing production issues..
