We are seeking a candidate with 6–10 years of solid experience in infrastructure monitoring, to work on projects for a reputed bank. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in monitoring tools such as Netcool and Zabbix, with hands-on experience across Unix, Linux, and Wintel platforms. A background in supporting multi-platform environments and delivering proactive monitoring solutions is essential.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Must have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent);
- Must have over 5 years of IT experience in the banking sector, with solid understanding of application and infrastructure monitoring in multi-platform environments;
- Must have least 3 years of experience in scripting and web development;
- Proficient in Shell, Python, and Perl scripting;
- Skilled in automation and web-based reporting using AJAX, HTML, and JavaScript frameworks;
- Must have hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as IBM ITM Tivoli, Netcool, Zabbix, and Elasticsearch;
- Highly organized, with strong prioritization abilities;
- Passionate about coding and developing automation solutions to support team needs;
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently;
Desirable Skill(s)
- Supporting infrastructure using modern technology stacks such as OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes;
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring systems in multi-platform environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance for the standardization of SNOC (Service Network Operations Center) monitoring and optimize resource utilization for proactive application and infrastructure monitoring;
- Identify opportunities to enhance communication between SNOC and key stakeholders, including Incident and Problem Management teams, as well as Application and Infrastructure Subject Matter Experts (SMEs);
- Oversee the development and availability of SNOC monitoring metrics and alert reports for management and executive-level reporting;
- Review and validate the accuracy and completeness of SNOC monitoring metrics and alert data;
- Define performance measurements and track continuous improvements in the effectiveness and efficiency of SNOC monitoring processes;
- Serve as the primary escalation point for all SNOC-related improvement initiatives.
