Application Support Analyst (SQL, Unix, Microservices, CI/CD)

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Application Support Analyst to join a DevOps-oriented support team responsible for a core banking suite used across Asia and EMEA. This role involves providing end-to-end application support, ensuring high availability, and engaging with both IT stakeholders and business users. 

Mandatory Skill(s)

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in application support roles;
  • Must have proficiency in SQL and Unix/Linux command-line environments;
  • Must have exposure to microservices architecture, CI/CD tools and experience with incident management and root cause analysis;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and automation practices;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in high-pressure situations along with strong communication skills;
  • Ability to manage business and operations relationships effectively.

Desirable Skill(s)

  • Exposure to payment systems, financing, accounting, and general ledger functions;
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting or financial systems;
  • Knowledge of ITIL concepts;
  • Background in Business Analysis or Software Testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve user requests and incidents with appropriate prioritization;
  • Communicate effectively with users, senior management, and IT teams during incident handling;
  • Perform daily operational checks and on-call support rotations;
  • Execute change requests, urgent data fixes, and batch jobs;
  • Own the communication bridge between IT run operations and business stakeholders;
  • Drive root cause analysis and remediation actions for critical incidents;
  • Update and maintain support documentation and runbooks;
  • Recommend and contribute to automation and sustainable fixes for recurring issues;
  • Participate in major production events including BCP, DR, and change interventions;
  • Coordinate with global teams to ensure seamless support across regions;
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across incident management, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
