The role provides end-to-end processing support for Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) and Credit Default Swaps (CDS) for the Treasury & Markets (T&M) division across multiple Asia-Pacific regions. The individual will be responsible for validating trades, authorising settlements, performing fixing, liaising with counterparties, and managing exception handling and reconciliation. In addition to day-to-day operations, the role requires participation in process improvement initiatives and data-driven problem-solving.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Strong experience in Treasury & Markets operations, particularly with Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) and Credit Default Swaps (CDS);
• Must have proficiency in Murex and/or Front Arena systems;
• Must have hands-on experience in trade validation, Settlement processing and Fixing procedures, SWIFT messaging and payment processing;
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, derivatives, and trade lifecycle;
• Must have experience handling trade exceptions, reconciliation, and investigations;
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with counterparties and internal teams;
• Analytical thinking and data analysis skills;
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Prior experience working across multiple APAC regions (Singapore, Australia, China, Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong);
• Experience participating in process improvement projects and business initiatives;
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and follow through on implementations;
• Knowledge of post-trade processes, including handling unmatched/alleged trades;
• Familiarity with internal operational risk controls and escalation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support for IRS and CDS trades from inception to expiry across multiple APAC locations;
• Validate all new trades in Murex/Front Arena against source documentation;
• Ensure timely and accurate settlement of trades; authorise incoming/outgoing payments;
• Perform fixing procedures for swaps in respective systems;
• Liaise with counterparties and local Treasury Operations teams for settlement and fixing coordination;
• Monitor payment processes and handle exceptions for unmatched/alleged trades;
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks within turnaround time;
• Manage all pre- and post-trade inquiries received via email or SWIFT;
• Engage in data analysis and problem-solving to support subject matter expertise;
• Participate in critical initiatives, process improvement, and ensure successful implementation.
