Fullstack Web Developer (Next.Js / React.js / Java / TypeScript)

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Engineering Manager / Lead Software Engineer to lead one or more engineering teams in the design, development, and delivery of impactful, scalable products. You will set the technical vision, drive strategic planning, foster team growth, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient product delivery. Your leadership will be critical in building a high-performing engineering culture that values quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Mandatory Skill(s)

  • Must have experience building and operating large-scale, high-availability software systems in production environments;
  • Must have hands-on experience with modern web technologies, including Frontend: React.js or Next.js and Backend: Java and/or TypeScript;
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering management, including coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers;
  • Must have a deep understanding of engineering best practices, including testing, reliability, security, CI/CD, and modern deployment methodologies;
  • Must have proven technical leadership abilities, including defining and executing technical strategies and guiding teams through complex engineering challenges;
  • Must have strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align on vision and execution.

  • Built long-term technical roadmaps aligned with business goals;
  • Delivered products iteratively using agile practices and roadmap management;
  • Strong communicator with empathy; able to influence across technical and non-technical teams;
  • Led and contributed to hiring processes for senior engineering roles.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for one or more engineering teams;
  • Partner with product and agency stakeholders to prioritize roadmaps and deliver against the product vision;
  • Maintain a long-term technical plan to address current and future product and infrastructure needs;
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and career development support to engineers through regular feedback, and coaching;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and uphold quality, reliability, and security standards;
  • Identify and lead engineering initiatives that maximize impact and value, especially in support of the public good;
  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance engineering culture through tooling, process, and leadership;
  • Support recruitment efforts, particularly for senior-level technical roles.
