The role focuses on supporting Calypso, managing incidents and user requests, ensuring smooth production operations, and driving continuous improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong Calypso expertise, a solid understanding of financial instruments, and proven experience in post-trade support within Capital Markets.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Must have 7+ years hands-on experience with Calypso (Back Office), preferably on Calypso v16;
• Must have in-depth knowledge of Calypso back-office functionalities, including Engines, Events, Filters, Reporting Framework, and Scheduled Tasks along with Proficiency in Messaging (Swift), Transfers, Settlement Delivery Instructions, Accounting, Pricers, Workflows, and Reconciliation is essential;
• Must have exposure with regulatory reporting such as MMSR and Ability to write and maintain programmable code (Java or similar);
• Experience in problem management and process improvements.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation (night/weekend support).
• Strong understanding of financial assets (FX, Money Market, Cash) and the trade lifecycle;
• Experience mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for Calypso back-office users;
• Investigate and resolve incidents promptly, acting as the main contact for user requests and escalating issues as needed;
• Coordinate cross-team incidents and propose solutions, supervise batch processes, collaborate with build teams on fixes, maintain knowledge bases, conduct training, and mentor junior team members;
• Implement application monitoring for proactive issue detection, generate operational and data quality reports, and automate manual processes to enhance efficiency;
• Perform release testing, validation, and production deployment;
• Analyze application performance and propose optimizations;
• Participate in weekend production releases on a rotational basis;
• Write and maintain application code as per technical specifications.
