We are looking for an experienced SAP & Insurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team and support end-to-end SAP transformation initiatives within the insurance domain. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SAP modules aligned with insurance processes—such as policy management, claims, billing, collections, and financial reporting—and can guide cross-functional teams through system design, configuration, implementation, and optimization. This role will act as a senior advisor, ensuring SAP solutions meet regulatory, operational, and business requirements.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field;
- Must have 10+ years of proven experience in SAP multiple modules;
- Strong understanding of insurance processes, including clause, policy management, and claims processing;
- Proven experience in SAP implementation and full lifecycle project delivery;
- Ability to perform detailed requirement gathering, gap analysis, and solution design;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with experience resolving complex SAP issues;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and IT teams.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Familiarity with SAP FI, SAP Claims Management, FS-ICM or integration to third-party insurance systems;
- Prior experience leading workshops, training programs, and end-user enablement;
- Understanding of insurance regulatory frameworks (IFRS17, Solvency II, local market regulations).
Responsibilities
- Provide expert advisory on SAP solutions tailored to the insurance sector;
- Recommend best practices to align SAP capabilities with business and regulatory needs;
- Support strategic decision-making through assessments and industry insights;
- Lead SAP implementation or enhancement workstreams, ensuring alignment to insurance workflows;
- Conduct requirement analysis, prepare functional specifications, and validate solution approaches;
- Support UAT cycles and ensure successful go-live and post-deployment stability;
- Configure SAP FS-PM, FS-CD, and related modules to support insurance business processes;
- Identify improvement opportunities and drive process optimization within the SAP landscape;
- Ensure seamless integration with finance, compliance, underwriting, and operation systems;
- Serve as the primary escalation point for SAP insurance-related functional issues;
- Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents efficiently;
- Provide continuous support to ensure business continuity and optimal system performance.
