Biometric Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Biometric Project Manager to lead identity, access, and biometric technology initiatives across a large, high-traffic, customer-facing environment.This role will be responsible for managing end-to-end project execution, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring successful implementation of facial recognition and biometric solutions in a regulated and operationally complex environment.

Mandatory Skill(s)

  • 5–8 years of experience in project management, preferably within biometric, identity, security, or digital transformation projects;
  • Must have proven experience managing technology implementation projects, including system integrations;
  • Must have strong understanding of biometric and facial recognition technologies, identity verification, or access control systems;
  • Experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles, including requirements gathering, planning, execution, UAT, and go-live;
  • Ability to work effectively with IT, security, operations, and external vendors;
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.

Desirable Skill(s)

  • Experience with biometric, facial recognition, or identity management platforms, including exposure to physical security systems such as CCTV, access control, or smart infrastructure;
  • Familiarity with data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance related to biometric and identity data;
  • Experience delivering projects in high-volume or mission-critical environments (e.g. hospitality, transport, retail, public venues);
  • Knowledge of Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery methodologies; project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) are an advantage;

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage biometric and facial recognition projects from initiation through delivery and post-implementation support;
  • Work with business, security, and operations stakeholders to gather requirements and define solution scope and use cases;
  • Coordinate with IT teams and vendors on system design, integration, testing, and deployment;
  • Oversee UAT planning, execution, defect tracking, and resolution;
  • Manage project timelines, risks, dependencies, and budgets; provide regular status updates to stakeholders;
  • Ensure solutions comply with data privacy, security, and governance standards;
  • Support change management, training, and user adoption for operational teams;
  • Monitor post-implementation performance and drive continuous improvement and optimisation.
