We are looking for an experienced Calypso Business Analyst – Back Office to join the Repo & Secured Financing (RSF) IT division for a banking client.
The role focuses on development, enhancement, and support of the Calypso back-office platform, supporting global front-to-back trading activities and “run-the-bank” operations.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Calypso Business Analyst with strong focus on Calypso Back Office;
- Must have hands-on experience with Calypso versions v14 to v17 across implementation and support activities;
- Strong functional expertise in Calypso Back Office including Static Data, Workflows, Scheduled Tasks, Confirmations, Settlements, Messaging & SWIFT, Positions, Accounting, Corporate Actions, Filters, Reporting Framework, and Reconciliation;
- Solid understanding of repo and secured financing products including Repos, Bonds, Securities Lending & Borrowing (SLB), and Issuances;
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle across front, middle, and back office;
- Must have experience in regulatory reporting including HRF, NORIA, and MMSR;
- Proven experience interfacing Calypso with external systems and downstream platforms;
- Must have hands-on experience in Calypso implementation projects and delivery of New Requirement (NR) scenarios;
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile delivery environments;
- Willingness to provide Level 3 application support and participate in on-call rotation, including night and weekend support.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Exposure to Capital Markets IT environments supporting front-to-back systems;
- Experience working in globally distributed teams;
- Familiarity with big data or in-house risk platforms is a plus;
- Prior experience supporting critical production environments.
Responsibilities
- Analyse enhancement requests and new product requirements for the repo and secured financing business;
- Propose functional and technical solutions in collaboration with solution architects;
- Prepare functional specifications, effort estimates, delivery plans, and detailed test scenarios;
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders;
- Manage monthly releases, covering analysis, development, testing, documentation, and production deployment;
- Maintain and support the production release roadmap;
- Provide Level 3 application support for Calypso Back Office, including issue investigation and defect resolution;
- Support business users and collaborate with infrastructure and IT teams during incident resolution;
- Participate in on-call rotation, including night and weekend support when required;
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing operational processes, improving system stability and performance, and coaching junior team members.
