HR Manager (Manufacturing)

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead Compensation & Benefits and Learning & Development functions for a leading semiconductor manufacturing company. This role will oversee C&B strategy, regulatory compliance, performance and bonus cycles, while driving capability development initiatives to support business growth and operational excellence.

Mandatory Skill(s)

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline;
  • Must have at least 5 years of managerial experience, preferably within manufacturing or semiconductor environment;
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices;
  • Proven experience in compensation benchmarking, budgeting, bonus planning, and salary review processes;
  • Experience in training needs analysis and implementation of L&D frameworks;
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skill(s)

  • Experience handling Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) requirements;
  • Exposure to regional or HQ reporting structures;
  • Experience driving HR projects or continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Compensation & Benefits function, ensuring compliance with MOM regulations, HQ requirements, and RBA standards;
  • Benchmark compensation practices against manufacturing and semiconductor industry standards to maintain market competitiveness;
  • Plan and oversee annual merit increment, appraisal cycles, and salary adjustment processes;
  • Develop and execute bonus planning proposals and oversee payout activities in line with approved budgets;
  • Drive and participate in annual budgeting exercises;
  • Monitor regulatory and market developments impacting compensation policies;
  • Develop and maintain HR procedures and documentation for C&B processes;
  • Act as liaison for HRI and HRMC matters;
  • Drive HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Oversee training and development strategy to enhance workforce capability;
  • Conduct training needs analysis using competency frameworks and recommend suitable programmes;
  • Act as internal consultant to design and implement learning solutions;
  • Provide guidance to HR Administrator on training coordination and administration.
