Seeking a ServiceNow Developer with 4–5 years’ experience to design, develop, and enhance platform solutions, workflows, and dashboards to support business needs;
The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders and exposure to automation and DevSecOps initiatives.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field;
- Experience in ServiceNow development & customization (ITSM, ITAM, CMDB, ITOM, workflows, business rules, UI components);
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS;
- Experience with REST API and SOAP web services.
- Experience in system / tools integration;
- Experience in data wrangling, cleaning, transformation, and integration;
- Familiarity with scripting/programming (Python, Unix Shell, PowerShell, JavaScript);
- Good understanding of ITIL processes and IT Operations (ITSM, ITAM, CMDB, etc.);
- Experience working with SDLC methodologies (end-to-end lifecycle);
- Strong communication skills (ability to bridge business & technical teams);
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams;
- Good time management and prioritization skills;
- Proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented mindset.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Experience with DevSecOps tools and CI/CD pipeline design & automation;
- Exposure to Observability, PAM, Asset Discovery tools;
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Kibana, Grafana);
- Knowledge of data modelling and reporting;
- ServiceNow certifications: CSA (Certified System Administrator OR CAD (Certified Application Developer).
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyse user requirements, prepare technical specifications/design and estimate impact & efforts;
- Design, Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules (ITSM, CMDB, ITAM, ITOM). Build and customize platform components including Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, Flows, Data Policies, and Catalog Items;
- Perform data engineering tasks including data analysis, data transformation, and data validation. Integrate data from multiple sources and build, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines;
- Automate operational tasks (eg: for reconciliation) using scripting (shell script, power shell java script) or programming languages (Python);
- Provide technical support for applications/tools supported by enablement team, including incident/problem troubleshooting, resolution and performance optimization;
- Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and IT standards, securities and governance;
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and operations teams, report status and progress regularly;
- Prepare and update the relevant documentations as required;
- Document processes, configurations, knowledgebases and best practices;
- Willing to learn new things and be assigned for additional task to support IT Operation tools (ITSM, ITAM, PAM, Asset Discovery, CMDB, DevSecOps, Observability) BAU/project in the organization.
