Windows System Programmer

We are seeking a Windows System Programmer to support IT operations and deliver infrastructure projects across various Windows platforms and hardware technologies for a renowned bank.

Mandatory Skill(s)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or similar field;
  • Must have 7-10 years of experience managing Active Directory, including expertise in Forest/Domain Policies, LDAP, and Group Policies;
  • Must have experience with Windows 2008, 2012, and 2016, including technologies such as Failover Cluster, Hyper-V, VMware, Altiris, VSA, and HPE hardware (DL/BL/Synergy/SimpliVity);
  • Experience with Windows services, virtualization, blade technology, and converged infrastructure;
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting, as well as vulnerability management and AD migration;
  • Experience with Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC), Identity and Access Management (IAM), and AD Promotion/Decommission processes;
  • Ability to collaborate on authentication/authorization requirements with different teams;
  • Willing to work in shifts, including on-call support when required;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

 

Desirable Skill(s)

  • Knowledge or hands on working experience with emerging technologies – Cloud IaaS, HP Synergy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level support for Windows services and act as the final escalation point for technical issues;
  • Ensure stability, availability, and performance of Windows infrastructure (including AD, Hyper-V, VMware);
  • Collaborate with architects, project teams, and peers on infrastructure design and technology roadmaps;
  • Lead service improvement initiatives and drive automation for greater efficiency;
  • Manage service improvements for all Unix/Linux services supported across the organization;
  • Support and mentor team members, sharing knowledge and providing training when needed;
  • Document technical procedures and maintain up-to-date system documentation;
  • Manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and ensure resolution of high-severity issues;
  • Work closely with clients on requests, planning, and service quality improvement;
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal IT/security policies.
