We are looking for an experienced and proactive Application Support Analyst to work on DevOps oriented projects for a reputed bank.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;
- Must have at least 4 years of experience in application support;
- Must have expertise in scripting and automation, such as SQL, Shell scripting, PowerShell, Windows scripting, and Active Directory management;
- Must have experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TFS, Git, Ansible, Selenium, Docker;
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows OS;
- Understanding of DevOps transformation in large enterprises;
- Proficient in Agile environments with a strong understanding of design principles and best practices;
Desirable Skill(s)
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices;
- Experience in a banking environment.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage and prioritize user requests and incidents, ensuring timely resolution, clear communication with stakeholders, and proactive coordination with vendors when needed;
- Handle daily support tasks, including sanity checks and on-call duties, while managing change requests, urgent data updates, and acting as the primary user contact with escalation when necessary;
- Provide issue resolution through root cause analysis, proactive problem management, and documentation updates, while promoting automation and long-term fixes for recurring incidents;
- Serves as the primary IT Run contact for stakeholders, supporting major events;
- Maintain and enhance existing workflow processes and frameworks;
- Identify, plan, and develop tools to reduce operational costs and improve customer experience;
- Drive continuous service improvement by proposing solutions to reduce repetitive tasks;
- Manage and share knowledge within the team, ensuring regular updates to the knowledge database in collaboration with development and support teams.
