SAP BI Developer

We are looking for an experienced Intermediate SAP BI Consultant to join our team in supporting a global core banking system. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining SAP Business Objects (BO) reports, dashboards, and universes, while ensuring efficient data integration with data warehouse environments. 

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Must have 4+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Business Objects;
• Must have proficiency in Web Intelligence, BO Dashboards, Universe Design Tool, and Information Design Tool;
• Must have strong SQL skills and experience with databases such as Oracle and SQL Server;
• Must have experience with data governance and SAP BO compliance best practices.
• Solid understanding of Data Warehouse architectures, ETL processes, and data modeling;
• Experience in SAP BO platform administration including user management and security setup;
• Experience in BO upgrade, patch management, and migration projects.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Skilled in performance tuning of reports and universes;
• Troubleshooting skills for reporting and platform issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP Business Objects reports, dashboards, and universes based on business requirements, while optimizing performance and scalability for enterprise-level use;
• Administer and manage BO platform tasks including user security, folder organization, authorization controls, and SAP BO authorization mechanisms to ensure secure and structured access;
• Ensure seamless data integration between SAP BO and data warehouse environments, supporting reliable and efficient reporting;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into user-friendly, high-performance WebI reports and dashboards;
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP BO reports, universes, and ETL processes, coordinating with vendors and technical teams as needed;
• Uphold data governance and best practices in reporting, ensuring compliance with security, quality, and performance standards across the BI environment.
