System Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to manage and support our Windows and Linux systems across various environments including Testing (UAT), QA (SIT), Production (Live) and Disaster Recovery (DR) site.

The ideal candidate will have experience in system administration, incident resolution, performance tuning, and automation of regular tasks.

Mandatory Skill(s)

  • Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering;  
  • At least 3 years of experience as a System Engineer with experience in managing Microsoft Windows or Red Hat Linux servers;
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and system applications like MS SQL Server, backup solutions, and application servers;
  • Must have experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and automation tools;
  • Must have experience with incident management and change control processes;
  • Working experience with firewalls, including Checkpoint, as well as network device administration and troubleshooting;
  • Knowledge of IT security policies and operating system hardening;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for effective issue resolution;
  • Willingness and availability to work on extended office hours and/or shifts;
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholder.

Desirable Skill(s)

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), CI/CD, and automation tools;
  • Knowledge in networking technologies enpassing Fortinet, Sophos and Cisco switch, router, and firewalls;
  • ITIL certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Windows and Linux systems, ensuring prompt resolution of incidents and execution of regular maintenance tasks;
  • Execute system changes and deployments across Production, UAT, SIT, and Disaster Recovery environments, adhering to established change control protocols;
  • Automate recurring tasks, monitor issues, and ensure all changes are accurately documented;
  • Analyze and optimize system performance and capacity to ensure stability and efficiency;
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for installation and configuration tasks;
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution for applications;
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all operational processes and system activities.
