Big Data Developer

We are seeking a seasoned Big Data Developer to work on the projects for IT department  within a reputed bank. The role focuses on developing new solutions, enhancing modules ( payments, loans, guarantees), and supporting regulatory and internal reporting systems built on a data warehouse. 

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Java/J2EE development;
• Must have strong experience in Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, HBase, Elasticsearch;
• Must have experience with IBM MQ, Kafka for message processing;
• Must have knowledge on technologies such as  HBase, elastic search, Kibana, spark UI, ELK;
• Proficient in Spring, Spring REST, Web Services, Microservices, and ORM frameworks;
• Hands-on skills in DevOps tools such as Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Git, GitLab, Sonar;
• Familiar with automated testing & methodologies such as JUnit, Cucumber;
• Experience in debugging & root cause analysis using tools like Kibana, Spark UI, ELK;

Desirable Skill(s)

• Exposure to relational databases like Oracle or MySQL;
• Exposure in Devops / Release management / production support;
• Understanding of corporate banking and cash management domain.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and provide feedback on functional specifications;
• Design, develop, and implement scalable solutions using TDD/BDD methodologies;
• Estimate and document design and development efforts;
• Conduct code and design reviews for peers;
• Enable and support functional testing and UAT;
• Perform non-functional testing and optimize system performance;
• Perform L3 support of application in production – analyze and resolve issue as they arise;
• Prepare clear documentation for designs and implementations;
• Collaborate with stakeholders in a multicultural, agile environment.
