Java and PLSQL Developer

We are hiring a Java and PL/SQL Developer to work on projects and support/enhance a core banking system. The role focuses on developing and maintaining key applications in payments, trade finance, and risk domains, requiring strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and PL/SQL.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Has 4-9 years of experience in Java-J2EE ,Spring Boot & PLSQL, ideally in a banking environment;
• Must have skills Core Java, Spring, Hibernate, JSP, PL/SQL, and Oracle DB (12c/19c);
• Must have proficiency with SVN, Eclipse, Maven, JUnit, Jasper Reports, and servers like JBoss, Tomcat;
• Must have experience with Shell scripting, SQL, MQ messaging, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases, Big Data frameworks, and proficiency in draw.io, Visio, with experience working in LEAN/Agile environments;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills;
• Proactive and autonomous, with a problem solving orientation.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Exposure to enterprise systems such as Oracle EBS – GL and SAP BI;
• Familiar with modern DevOps and cloud tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Maven, RESTful APIs, and CFT.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand functional specifications; provide technical feedback;
• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality solutions in line with defined standards;
• Translate functional requirements into detailed technical designs;
• Collaborate with analysts and developers on solution design and prepare technical documentation, including specs, integration docs, and unit tests;
• Participate in peer reviews and maintain coding best practices;
• Handle Level 3 support issues and contribute to solution architecture through technical discussions and problem-solving;
• Ensure systems are stable, well-documented, and scalable, while staying adaptable to new technologies and cross-functional needs.
