Java Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Java Developer to join the Corporate, Support Functions IT team and work on projects for a renowned bank. The role involves developing and maintaining enterprise-level risk and finance applications, ensuring delivery of high-quality, tested solutions in a global environment.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Must have 8 years of hands-on Java/J2EE development experience;
• Must have experience with  technologies such as Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, JavaScript, React JS, Oracle/MSSQL, ElasticSearch, Spark, Kafka, Shell scripting, and Control-M;
• Must have experience with technology skills such as  Maven, Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Docker, Kubernetes, Apache Airflow, Python, JUnit, GIT, Jira, and Quality Center;
• Proficiency in Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs;
• Strong frontend skills using JavaScript and React JS and a strong knowledge of Apache Airflow and Python.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, or Playwright;
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and team collaboration skills.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Basic understanding of risk management domain.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deliver high-quality Java code meeting performance and quality benchmarks;
• Collaborate with architects and business analysts to understand requirements and propose optimal solutions;
• Analyze technical constraints and provide detailed development estimations;
• Design testing strategies and perform code reviews to ensure coding standards;
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and contribute to solution design;
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices across the team;
• Participate in L3 support activities during Singapore/Paris working hours;
• Embrace a proactive mindset and continuously seek improvements in design and process.
