Programmer – Application Deployment & Support

We are seeking a Junior Application Deployment Programmer to work on projects for a reputed bank. This role involves deploying applications in SIT, UAT, and production environments, while providing L1/L2 technical support for core banking systems.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Must have 3 years of experience in application deployment and support;
• Must have hands-on experience with technical skills such as Java, SQL, UNIX, Jetty;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
• Ability to manage tasks in a multicultural, fast-paced environment;
• Willingness to learn and contribute to DevOps practices;
• Should have good verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Knowledge of SDLC phases;
• Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies;
• Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Control-M, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker.

Responsibilities

• Deploy applications in SIT, UAT, and production environments for global banking systems;
• Provide L1/L2 technical support and manage issue resolution and escalations;
• Monitor batch jobs and take corrective actions when needed;
• Coordinate with development, QA, and business teams during release cycles;
• Document installation steps, deployment instructions, and technical procedures;
• Track and follow up on UAT issues and queries raised by business users;
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and DevOps toolchain enhancements;
• Act as the point of contact for release activities across regions.
