We are seeking an infrastructure engineer. The infrastructure engineer is responsible for the design, operation, and support of enterprise Windows Server and VMware infrastructure across local and regional offices. The role focuses on platform reliability, security, compliance, vulnerability remediation, and operational excellence while providing Tier 2/3 support and participating in on call and disaster recovery activities.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere / vCenter (ESXi, clusters, HA, DRS, vMotion);
- Strong administration skills in Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022;
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy;
- Experience in enterprise incident and problem management (Tier 2/3);
- Strong understanding of patching, upgrades, and platform lifecycle management;
- Knowledge of infrastructure security, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening;
- Ability to work in regulated or enterprise environments;
- Understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery concepts;
- Experience following change management and operational processes;
- Willingness to participate in 24×7 on-call and support rotations.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) or advanced VMware features;
- PowerShell or scripting experience for automation;
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (SCOM, vRealize, or equivalents);
- Exposure to storage, backup, and replication technologies;
- Understanding of security controls, CIS benchmarks, and compliance frameworks;
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory requirements (ITGC, SOX, internal audits);
- Knowledge of capacity planning and performance optimization;
- Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure (Azure or AWS fundamentals);
- Relevant VMware, Microsoft, or security certifications.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, operate, and maintain Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and VMware vSphere/vCenter environments;
- Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 support, incident resolution, problem management, and root cause analysis;
- Administer and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy;
- Perform patching, upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle management of infrastructure platforms;
- Ensure high availability, performance, and stability of enterprise infrastructure;
- Implement security hardening and vulnerability remediation in line with organizational policies and SLAs;
- Review vulnerability scan reports and prioritize remediation based on risk and business impact;
- Support change management, releases, upgrades, and migrations;
- Collaborate with application, network, storage, backup, and security teams;
- Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution;
- Maintain accurate technical documentation for architecture, configurations, and procedures;
- Participate in 24×7 on-call support and respond to critical (P1) incidents.
